You can help reduce the Sea Nettles in Barnegat Bay.
Did You Know?
You can help reduce the Sea Nettles in Barnegat Bay. Polyps (baby jellyfish) attach to smooth, hard surfaces. Recent Scientific Studies show the bottom of floating docks & man-made bulkheads could provide a perfect habitat for Hundreds of thousands of jellyfish.
Lagoon Residents can help Reduce the Sea Nettle Population By:
Removing floatables such as PVC barrels & plastics from the waterways
Removing floating docks, when possible
Power washing the underside of docks, piers & bulkheads in early Fall & early Spring
Barnegat Bay Bulkhead Blitz Don’t Let the Sea Nettles Settle
